A reluctant sale of our much-loved alpacas due to university commitments meaning I can no longer give them the time they deserve. Aggie (6 years old) is a proven female with a lovely temperament and is being sold with her two offspring: Jade (2 years old) Seamus (1 year old) Both youngsters are friendly, well handled, and are becoming accustomed to wearing a halter and being led on a rope. Isaac (10 years old) is our proven stud male and the sire of all the cria being sold. He is an outstanding alpaca with an excellent temperament and has produced fantastic offspring. Jameson (3 years old) is Isaac's son and Aggie's nephew. He is a handsome young male with a great nature and plenty of potential. All alpacas are healthy, well cared for, and have very good temperaments. They would make a fantastic addition to a breeding herd or a smallholding looking for friendly, easy-to-manage alpacas. Tiberius is one of our 2021 cria who, up until now, has firmly been a keeper and has accompanied us to all public-facing outings since he was a weanling! He is now up for sale as we have drastically reduced the number of markets / country shows we’re attending as in-person sales are very much down for us these days. While it is really sad for us, never having thought having to consider him being for sale, here we are now, looking for the best possible home for him. Tiberius dark brown, castrated and a phenomenal fibre producer with crimpy, highly processable fleeces in the low 20s micron-wise and always around 8-9cm staple length. His skirted blanket usually weights in the region of 1.5kg but he has started to develop more guard hair particularly on his apron (which we’ve also still been able to sell to hand spinners until now, along with his neck fleece). Tiberius is a big boy, very much a ‘good doer’ and exclusively fed Camelibra (alongside hay of course) to maintain his BCS below 5/5. He is very gentle and calm but hates having his back toenails trimmed since a traumatic castration. Thankfully, they are very slow growing and he is very happy to have his fronts taken care of. We may have another friend (and half-brother) of his available too who he could go with but we will not sell him to herds smaller than 3 male alpacas (counting him). Butterscotch is an absolutely fantastic 3yo female. Not only is she extremely friendly and loves nothing more than coming up for a scratch and to be fussed over, she is also well-grown (in fact, she was already born well-grown!), has a lovely conformation and a soft, highly processable fleece. Butterscotch is fully halter-trained, climbs confidently in and out of the trailer and has been on walks with us around the property. Because she is so friendly, to the point of being soppy and downright cuddly, she would make an absolutely perfect addition for those who built their business around walking / offering experiences with females. Butterscotch would also make a great therapy alpaca as she is one of only three genuinely cuddly alpacas we personally know - rare as hen’s teeth and worth her weight in gold! She actively seeks out physical contact and can patiently stand or sit for hours being scratched. We aren't breeding anymore and, while Butterscotch could just stay with us as a pet, she comes from a maternal line of absolutely outstanding breeders and it would be a shame to not have her go down that same route. The females in her direct line have all always fallen pregnant at the first mating and given birth to big, strapping cria who then go on to gain weight at a rate of approx. 2+kg/week. Butterscotch carries excellent genetics on both sides (Daer Enahs Streslecki Of EPC (Imp) / Eringa Park The Commandante of ACC (Imp)) and has a lovely dark fawn fleece that combines her dam's fineness and her sire's density. Her dam has been part of the EBV program and has consistently come in the top 5% for fineness but lacks the density that we have been successfully adding via denser studs. Due to recent bereavement, I have decided that I must reduce my alpaca herd. In this group are five maiden girls who would make a perfect starter herd for someone about to start their alpaca owning career, all are halter trained and have been shown with both colour champions and reserves amongst them. They could be split if you already have alpacas but I wouldn't let less than 2 go together and a discount would be offered for the group to go as a whole. Riko was born in August 2021 and has found himself in our show team, at weddings and in our trekking team.
